Eljun is a climate fintech company with the ambition to go beyond the currently fragmented eMobility landscape by providing the unifying payment solution that will allow us to move as one toward a greener future.
Objective and scope
The internship position for which I was selected, alongside my classmate Johanna Eriksson, was an exciting opportunity with the objective of revamping Eljun’s digital wallet app to provide a seamless and engaging user experience. The primary objectives were to simplify payment processes, integrate accessibility features for various transport modes, and design loyalty programs with sponsored mobility credits.
Results
The revamped Eljun digital wallet app was met with positive feedback from users and stakeholders alike. Key performance indicators, such as user engagement, transaction completion rates, and loyalty program participation, showed significant improvement.

Duties
Streamlined Payment Processes
Together with the team, we redesigned the payment flow to be more intuitive and user-friendly. By simplifying the navigation and minimizing steps, we aimed to reduce friction in the payment process. Clear visual cues and feedback were integrated to guide users seamlessly through transactions.
Accessibility Integration
Recognizing the importance of inclusivity, we incorporated accessibility features for various transport modes. This included optimizing the app for screen readers, enhancing color contrast for better visibility, and implementing larger touch areas to accommodate users with different motor abilities.
Loyalty Programs and Sponsored Mobility Credits
We developed a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate loyalty program within the app. Users could easily track their rewards, view upcoming promotions, and redeem points for discounts or sponsored mobility credits. The design aimed to create a sense of excitement and reward for users, fostering long-term engagement.
